On Monday 2 September 2013, 24 new apprentices started their training with Doppelmayr Seilbahnen in Wolfurt, choosing a highly promising career path which will enhance their future prospects. Doppelmayr now trains a total of 76 apprentices at its premises in Wolfurt, offering specific programmes for metal engineering (mechanical engineering, steel construction engineering or machining) design engineering, electrical engineering (systems and industrial engineering) and for information technology.

Our apprentices' top results at the 2013 Apprentices' Skills Competition ("Lehrlingsleistungswettbewerb") once again underline the excellent quality of Doppelmayr's apprenticeship programmes. In their trades, our apprentices won recognition awards of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce: Near Aaron Köpfle and Michael Zuggal (mechanical engineering), also Rene Gammerer and Jakob Lepuch (steel construction engineering) were awarded because of their excellent performances of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce.

Doppelmayr has been training apprentices ever since the company was founded. In order to guarantee first-quality training for its apprentices, the company set up its own training workshop in 1979. Doppelmayr's apprenticeship scheme combines many years of experience with state-of-the-art technology and a highly skilled team of mentors and coaches, thus paving the way for excellent job opportunities and a promising future with a renowned international company.

Doppelmayr will again take on apprentices in the next year and will offer apprenticeship taster days between mid January and late March 2014. Those interested in participating may contact Mrs Renate Prinz from Apprentice Training.
