On Monday 1 September 2015, 22 new apprentices started their training with Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH in Wolfurt, choosing a highly promising career path that will enhance their future prospects, in specific programmes for metal engineering (mechanical engineering, steel construction engineering and machining engineering), metal treatment engineering, electrical engineering (systems and industrial engineering) and – for the first time ever – mechatronics. Doppelmayr now trains a total of 92 apprentices at its premises in Wolfurt.

This year marks the first time that Doppelmayr offers a programme for mechatronics and two apprentices start their training in September 2015. They will learn the versatile functions of mechatronic systems – the synergies of mechanics, electronics and information technology.

Doppelmayr's apprenticeship programmes trace back to the origins of the company in 1892. Many years of experience combined with state-of-the-art technology and a highly skilled team of mentors and coaches pave the way for excellent job opportunities and a promising future with a renowned international company.

Ever since the award 'Distinguished training company' ('Ausgezeichneter Lehrbetrieb') has been established in 1997, Doppelmayr bears this title. This also reflects in the apprentices' performances. Every year they achieve excellent results in the Apprentices' Skills Competition ('Lehrlingsleistungswettbewerb') in mechanical engineering, steel construction engineering, electrical engineering (systems and industrial engineering), which ranks them among the best in their field in the electrical and metal industry of Vorarlberg.

Doppelmayr will again take on apprentices in the next year. Those interested in starting their training with Doppelmayr may contact Mrs Renate Prinz from Apprentice Training. Application by telephone: 05574/604-1059 (if possible Monday through Thursday before noon), e-mail: renate.prinz@doppelmayr.com. Between mid January and late March 2016, apprenticeship taster days will be offered. Registration for those will start in November 2015 online at lehre-bei-doppelmayr.at.
