Doppelmayr Cable Car (DCC), which is part of the Doppelmayr Group, has been awarded the contract to build an automated people mover (APM) system in Moscow, Russia. In addition to the implementation of the Cable Liner® Double Shuttle, DCC has been selected to operate the installation for 15 years. By 2018, DCC will have set another milestone in its company history, this time in Moscow.

The Cable Liner^® is a fully automated rope-propelled transport system which already provides impressive efficiency and performance at numerous international airports. Now Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow is also placing its trust in the expertise of the world leader in rope-propelled transport solutions. Doppelmayr Cable Car, a wholly owned Doppelmayr subsidiary, has been awarded the contract for a Cable Liner^® Double Shuttle which will run entirely underground. Over a distance of more than two kilometers in length, it will connect the northern and southern terminal complex. Additionally to the implementation of the APM system, Doppelmayr has been awarded to provide operation & maintenance (O&M) services for a successive period of 15 years.

Sheremetyevo is Russia’s biggest airport and serves over 300 international destinations. The new transport system will provide greater comfort for air passengers 24/7/365.
