The Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group has built a reversible aerial tramway across Ha Long Bay in Northern Vietnam which puts all previous ropeway dimensions in the shade. Each of the two cabins provides space for 230 passengers and the tramway also boasts the world’s tallest ropeway tower with a height of 188.88 meters.
Doppelmayr/Garaventa has built a tricable gondola lift which covers over six kilometers on its way to Vietnam’s highest mountain and climbs over 1,400 vertical meters during the trip. As a result, the Fansipan Legend 3S lift simultaneously breaks two world records. Le Viet Lam, Chairman of Sun Group, Thomas Pichler, managing director of Doppelmayr, and Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister participated in the official opening ceremony on February 2, 2016.
Doppelmayr Cable Car (DCC), which is part of the Doppelmayr Group, has been awarded the contract to build an automated people mover (APM) system in Moscow, Russia. In addition to the implementation of the Cable Liner® Double Shuttle, DCC has been selected to operate the installation for 15 years. By 2018, DCC will have set another milestone in its company history, this time in Moscow.
