Press release concerning "Garaventa"
The next Winter Olympic Games will be held in Beijing in 2022. A series of new ropeways is to be built for the infrastructure at the Olympic venues.
István Szalai, CEO of the successful Swiss ropeways company Garaventa, will be handing over his responsibilities to the current COO, Arno Inauen, with effect from 1 April 2018, thereby ensuring continuity at Garaventa.
On February 4, 2018, Doppelmayr opened the world’s longest ropeway.
The Zugspitze is Germany’s highest mountain. Since this winter season, it also boasts a reversible aerial tramway of superlatives.
Aside from the breathtaking views, visitors to Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze, which lies close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, have been able to enjoy an additional attraction over the past two years – the construction of the summit station for the new Zugspitze cable car.
