Nestling between fjords and mountains, Åndalsnes is a popular destination for active vacationers. With the Romsdalsgondolen aerial tramway, Åndalsnes now has yet another attraction, which represents a major step for the region’s tourist development. Until now, Nesaksla mountain could only be reached by a two-hour hike, part of which included the famous Romsdalseggen ridge walk. During the trip on the Romsdalsgondolen tramway, visitors climb 692 vertical meters over the 1,676-meter route from the fjord up to Nesaksla mountain.
