On Friday, 30 May 2014, the Bolivian President Evo Morales opened the first cable car "Linea Roja" in La Paz. It is one of three cable car lines that will form the largest urban funicular network in the world, connecting the two cities of La Paz and El Alto. Until the end of 2014, two more lines (yellow and green) will go into operation and relieve the transportation network of the twin cities sustainably.
